When I took down my art web site to launch the Imaginary Trips, my virtual art class web site, I never imagined it would take me almost three months to relaunch LaureFerlita.com. Of course, I didn’t imagine a computer crash in mid-September that would seriously rock my world either! Much knowledge has been gained, hard-won knowledge, I must say, but well worth it.

I now have the art web site up, with tweaks and changes, a little bit of an update to the look and feel. Imaginary Trips is humming along nicely and all seems calm in my corner of the Universe. With so many new classes to get up and going, I haven’t had much time to create any finished studio pieces for competition. I’m hoping to get started on some new pieces next week!

I did have one very exciting win back in October, No Place Like Home won Best of Show at the Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society’s 2009 Open Aqueous Show! I was over-the-moon-beyond-the-stars elated! I walked on pure sunshine for weeks! In fact, it still brings a wonderfully warm feeling and a happy smile each time I think about it! You can see No Place Like Home on the Home Page.

I do hope you’ll stop by to visit and check out the latest from the studio and the classes! 2010 is shaping up to be an even more exciting year than 2009 and I can hardly wait to see what new adventures are waiting! I think I could forgo any more computer meltdowns though!
